The Rolls Royce Ghost painted with 1000 crushed diamonds

After recently infusing the Phantom with 24k gold, Rolls Royce has gone a step further and literally sprinkled the Ghost with diamonds all over. Named ‘Elegance’, the new Ghost has a paint job that makes use of 1,000 crushed diamonds.  Called “Diamond Stardust,” this paint was created after Rolls Royce dedicated 2 months testing different painting methods and applications to ensure the desired reflection. They also made sure the precious stones couldn’t be felt to the touch when running your hand along the car’s paint. The diamonds were milled to a fine powder before being mixed with paint, and an extra final layer of clear coat was applied to protect the diamond particles during the hand-polishing process.  The remainder of the car is still decked out to heightened Rolls-Royce standards, noting hand-painted coach lines, 21-inch wheels with matching red pinstripes, leather seats, wool carpet, and oak wood trim. And if you’d like to feast your eyes on this spectacular beauty, you just need to head out to the Geneva Motor Show, for it will be displayed there.
